Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed bin Salman

Appointed June 2017 by King Salman as Deputy prime minister of Saudi Arabia, and chairman of the Council for Economic and Development Affairs. He is, as well, chairman of the Council of Political and Security Affairs, and Minister of Defense.

The psychological analysis and personality profile that follows below will extend in every respect from material appearing in The Illustrated Textbook of Psychodiagnostic Chirology in Analysis and Therapy (1st and 2nd editions), and the 3rd edition renamed Biometric Definitions of Personality. .

Square shaped palm with short fingers:

These features when seen together identify a practical mindset, a bent for physical efforts, with the short fingers and refined skin texture contributing a capacity for intuitive insights. Virtually evey feature describing this hand is in absolute contradiction to all that describes his father's hands.

As we will note in the material that follows specific to hand features, the Crown Prince would, by his very nature, identify with the Arts, architecture, creative design in general, and particularly music. Many famous conductors of philharmonic orchestras have very similar palmer attributes, although Mohammed bun Salman would more comfortably identify with the music of popular artists. At the same time, his cognitive faculties are defined by a straight and relatively short Lower Transverse Line (Line of Head). This would have his decisions subject to very rational and very disciplined evaluations. and only minimally influenced by circumstances normally inviting high level emotional responsiveness .

Pronounced development of the base phalange of each finger:

Essentially the base phalanges of the fingers relate to the individual's emotional sensitivity to his, or her security needs. The infant that had bonded securely to its mother will invariably have fingers with thick base phalanges. This would reflect on those infants whose sensitivity to their physical and emotional security needs are supremely gratified - but entirely in the context of dependencies. Heavy or pronounced base phalanges to the fingers of adults translate the weight they give to their physical and emotional security needs entirely in line with those formulas that have them manifest as personal strength, self-reliance and self-sufficiency. Such may be realized with the acquisition of wealth, strong social standing, and influence over others.

When seen at the base of the index finger we may speak of a natural assertiveness, a gravitation to a position of authority, or, at the very least, the inclination to be authoritative. It is a natural feature in the hands of those who would be leaders.

At the base of the little finger this development powerfully underlines a powerful grasp of one's own personal strength and security - particularly so if the fingers are held with some rigidity as we find here.

At the base phalanges of the medus and ring fingers we identify a fundamental sense of security in the strength of a singular Self and equally with Role Identity.

The very pronounced Thenar Eminence (Mount of Venus):

The Thenar Eminence, popularly known as the Mount of Venus, defines the investment of the singular libidinal resources that would be true for its bearer. In its simplest form, libido is that faculty in the matrix of one's personality that invests the personality with the drive to bonding and attachments. Our fundamental premise in any personality analysis is that whatever is recognized as potential is understood as a need. Potential must always equal need. This would be especially relevant in the hand of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman where the dimensions of the thenar eminence verge on the extreme.

If libido is explained in terms of warmth we would understand that any suggestion of flatness or shallowness in its development exposes a measure of coldness and a deficiency of emotional responsiveness to physical attachments. In such instances sexual experiences would be generated less by libidinal resources than by very conscious mental, or cerebral, decisions. Not so here where libido is invested most richly - virtually to the extreme. The drive for sexual bonding would be most pronounced.

Nevertheless, apart from the high level sexual drive that this feature promises - a drive verging on compulsion, there would be nuances of expression that are richly human. These may include a love of art, music and possibly an aptitude as a musician. Many with this feature are sculptors and architects. Libido generates heat which surely manifests powerfully here in relationship intensity.

The very pronounced Hypothenar Eminence (Mount of Moon):

The Hypothenar Eminence, popularly known as the Mount of Moon, defines the dimensions of the individual's relatively deep inner world environment. Here we find the seat of those instincts which become enlisted when threats to one's well-being are encountered. It is the seat of one's Core Identity which constitutes the substance of one's inherent individuality. It is the source of the individual's capacity for abstract conceptualization, creative expression and the expansion of meaning. In the matrix of this dimension is the chemistry of original thought, a singular imagination and responsiveness to inspiration.

The hand of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman exhibits a particularly profound development of the hypothenar eminence. All that we had noted in this regard in the earlier lines would be hugely manifest in his thinking and behavioral designs. Nothing in this dimension of his personality was acquired by learning. Everything we find here is essentially genetic with nothing compromised by a poverty of early bonding experiences. These attributes are inherent in the grain of his being.

The arrow that points to a short line originating high in the thenar eminence and arcing upwards exposes a very aggressive responsiveness to perceived threats. It is defensive in nature and under certain circumstances may verge on a ruthless responsiveness to those threats.

The length and balanced elegance of the thumb:

The thumb defines Will - a central dimension in the psyche of every human being, that, most unfortunately, is wholly ignored in academic teachings. It is this feature, and this feature alone, that demonstrates an individual's program of gravitation from total dependencies in infancy to levels of autonomy and independence in adulthood.

The determining factors in this regard will be variances in its length, girth, and the separate development of the lower and upper phalanges. The rule is that the overall length of the thumb, especially of marked length - one that reaches beyond the middle of the base phalange of the index finger - identifies a gravitation to autonomy and independence that moves its bearer to attain levels of leadership. It matters not if the field is business, or politics, or an enterprise of any other order.

The thumb of the Crown Prince is virtually identical to that of his father King Salman. In this regard we had written of the length, perfect balance and graceful fluidity of its shape. Its strength, intelligence and sophistication projects a willfulness that sets its bearer apart from others. It is a feature that invests personality with the capacity and willfulness to succeed. It is a willfulness that promotes initiatives tempered by all the aforementioned investments in personality.
